·           Vitamin C is obviously connected with the decreased risks of certain cancers.  It is mostly associated with cancer in the bladder, larynx, esophagus, stomach, and pancreas. It may also have a defensive effect in other cancers like lung, cervix, rectum, and oral cavity. The best type of Vitamin C recommended is the ascorbate form. It is non-acidic and does not cause gastric acidity.  The richest natural sources of vitamin c can be found in fruits, vegetables, and animal sources.

Fruits – (citrus sources) lemon, grapefruit, orange.

Plants – kakadu plum, camu camu, ose hip, chili pepper, broccoli, and more.

Animal – beef liver, oysters, chicken liver (fried), goat milk, cow milk.

Good nutrition is best for people living with cancer. Your body needs extra fuel to regain the energy and strength lost during and after cancer treatments like surgery, chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. Good nutrition can help you recuperate faster after treatments, decrease risk of infection, improve strength and energy needed to tolerate treatment, safeguard your immune system, and improve your Quality of Life.

My wife’s friend of a friend Julie walk in the Susan G. Komen
Walk For The Cure.
A three-day 60 mile walk with over 1,700 people participating.
Even with the extreme heat she still managed to go through the entire route.

One of the most well known cancer treatments in the United States is Chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is a set of toxic drugs that works by killing fast-growing cancer cells. Unfortunately, it also targets your white and red blood cells, which are important in fighting diseases which is the role of your immune system.  Even though chemo is well known, it does not cure cancer. “Not a cure, not even a promise, just an antidote for what is perceived as cancer,” as Suzanne Somers stated in her book – Knockout. People with cancer have a higher risk of dying after taking chemo than if they never went through any sessions.  You need to find out what exactly this treatment is and if it’s even going to work on you. Before you even think about going through chemo, ask for a chemosensitivity test. This would help you verify if the treatment is going to work or not; otherwise your health will be at a higher risk.
